“We use the Kantan net baby carrier daily now. Going to the store, going for a walk, while doing little chores around the house and our 11 months old girl wants nothing but being close and watching things happening at eye level of one of her parents, … Kantan Net baby carrier does slow things down a tiny bit because you can’t fully use both your hands and arms, but it’s still so much nicer still than having an unsatisfied baby climbing onto your legs ;-)

Very happy to have this light and compact easy-to-use baby sling!”

“The wocotto is a lovely, secure and snug little sling, i can carry my little boy for ages in it, his weight is taken on my hip and shoulder so i don’t get aches and pains quickly as i did with my other sling. it also stretches to accomodate him while being a very small and compact sling. I use it all the time and i’d really recommend it.” – Sylvia, France

“The Suppori is a very useful carrying aid. Its folds as small as a packet of tissues and is a great quick trip/emergency carrier to have in your bag with an older baby or small toddler. Its quick drying mesh fabric also makes it a great carrier to use in the water.” – Sophie M

“The wacotto is just fabulous ! My 5 month old is turning into a ‘hip’ baby so needed something to help my arms and posture. The fabric is lovely and flexible but strong and secure at the same time . So I feel happy that my boy is comfy . It also frees me to see to my 2 and 3 years olds as well . This is something that all busy mums need! I’m so greatful you let me try it out. What a great idea, so nice to try at home so I could decide which sling was best for us!
I will send you some pics in the New Year so you can use if you would like. Thanks again.” – C F, Peterborough

“I love using the Suppori, it frees up my arms and I can see my toes! :) I have used it around the house too, as i used to have to carry my baby and it killed my neck and back. But because the Suppori fits over my shoulder and then my baby sits on my hip nicely. Really great too for holidays. Its so tiny i can put it in my husbands pocket and i can grab it if we need it. And it looks nice. I really recommend the Suppori.” – Lisa, Surrey

“The Wacotto is perfect! a good snug fit. I like the wider band over the other slings.
Just wanted to congratulate you on outstanding customer service. I wouldn’t hesitate to shop here again and will recommend to others” – E P, London

“My daughter is very clingy to me, so the sling greatly helps especially when we go for a long walk. The material is so strong and durable but light and airy which is very important to keep my little one stay cool and calm. And a bonus is the whole sling fits into my pocket so we never need to lug an extra bag when we need to dash out of the door.” – Arthur

“[Wacotto] is good quality material and is nice to look at. The material is stretchy and good quality. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It is really easy to get the sling in the perfect position ready for the baby. It also looks good as a scarf for when the baby isn’t in it. It takes a bit of manoeuvring to get the baby in to the sling. My son was secure in the sling but also had some room to move around. When he has been clingy it has been easy to carry on with day to day tasks as he is supported in the sling. Once I had the sling in a larger size it was very comfortable to wear. In the smaller size it was uncomfortable on my arm. He loves being in the sling as he is being carried and is close to me. This sling is very easy to transport as it is easy to slip into the changing bag. I haven’t previously used a sling or looked to purchase one. Now I have tried this I would purchase and recommend. Having not looked in to using a sling previously I was surprised that I have enjoyed using this product. I will be continuing to use it. The only downside is that the sizing could be clearer. I ordered the size as per the guide and had to return for a larger size. The sling has little give so I couldn’t see how I would be able to carry the baby comfortably. That said once I got the sling in a larger size I found it very easy to use and will be continuing to use it.” Carys Rumsey – Spencer 9 Months

“I love my Suppori sling and i am using it nearly everyday! It’s brilliant! My baby boy loves it too, he looks so comfy in it :-] He is so securely snuggled up to me and i can carry him for ages, as it makes him lighter and easier to carry. I really recommend it.” – Veronika

“The Wacotto sling has been great so far. I started using it with my daughter around 5 and a half months as she is so nosey and needs to see what’s going on. I wasn’t happy having her facing out in our other fabric sling as it’s not good for babies hips or spine so was looking for a good hip sling that didn’t take up the entire changing bag. The Wacotto does both. It’s nice and compact and fits in your pocket or just wear it as a scarf if it’s not too warm. My daughter is now 7 months old and she loves being in it, she can see all around, is nice and close to me and most importantly it is comfortable to wear and takes her weight. We use it every day around the house, for walking the dogs and going to the supermarket or shops. It was fantastic when we were on holiday as we were in and out of the car sightseeing/walking about and it’s easier and quicker to get my daughter in and out of compared with our other sling. Finally, it’s great for breastfeeding as it can be kept on as a scarf and not be in the way or can be removed one-handed without having to put my daughter down.” – Fiona

“The Suppori sling has been a godsend. My boy is now a year old and very heavy for his age! I had to give up my back sling as he just weighs too much However the Suppori is great now he is more mobile he doesnt want to be carried for long periods, its perfect for when we nip out to collect my daughter from nursery, or into a shop for a few bits and i dont want the hassle of getting the pram out.

He has been very poorly just recently and the sling was brilliant as i could pop him in it and just carry on. He didnt want to be put down and just wanted cuddles but life doesnt stop and with the sling i was able to get at least some things done.

I was very pleased with the customer service i received from your company, you helped me find the right size sling and processed my order and return very quickly, thank you.” – Catherine

“[Suppori] is a wonderful sling – I live on the 3rd floor and besides feeling my 11month old baby is much safer now when I carry him up and downstairs, I can also manage the baby bag and a couple of bags of shopping at the same time. Unthinkable without it.
It’s so handy to store in any pocket and can just be left on during the day if your baby is likely to be in and out of it. Not only that, recently I went on a long country walk in the hills with my cousin, the baby was so comfortable he actually fell asleep most of the way and I didn’t feel under any strain what so ever (he weighs over 8k) and I’m neither big nor strong – I couldn’t comfortably carry him to the end of the street without it.
And finally, when I took the baby on a flight abroad recently, I was so lucky to have the Suppori sling as the baby carrier and pushchair had to be collected from the luggage collection area not the door of the plane – this was a LONG walk, not to mention the wait in customs queues, which would have been agony and just about impossible with the other bags I was carrying. THANK YOU Suppori!!!!” – ADELA

“The Suppori sling did arrived in time for my trip to Barcelona and has been fantastic! Really easy to use. My daughter loved being carried around and being part of the hustle and bustle of the city when she got sick of her pushchair, and it was a great help at the airport!” – Helen H

“First impression was how compact, lightweight and stylish [Wacotto sling] is. Super strong, very nice weave/pattern to the material. Very stretchy. Superb quality. Instructions nice and simple. Not a buckle in sight and I love that! Really easy to put on. You just put it around your neck like a scarf, pop one arm through the neck hole, pop baby in and you’re ready. In summer it would be a clear 5/5. What I have found is if baby is wearing a snow suit or we are both wearing winter coats, then it can be a bit difficult to navigate baby into position. I do feel my baby is secure in this sling. One thing I felt was that it could benefit from a crotch strap of some kind, as sometimes (especially when wriggling/kicking} baby slipped down a little. Carrying on with daily chores using this sling depends whether it’s a 2 handed task or one. One arm/hand had to constantly support baby due to back support and nothing holding baby in underneath, e.g., a crotch support. I have used a conventional sling which I had to stop using at 4 months as it really pulled the bottom of my back. This however was so comfortable! It’s more comfortable to hold baby with the sling on than without! The weight is distributed evenly so there isn’t any pressure point. I had a c section so my back is still tender from the spinal. My son was happy and content taking in the world around him. He was also happy as he got extra mummy snuggles than being stuck in his pram. He felt secure. It is so lightweight and tiny! It fits in your pocket. I wear it as a scarf when not using it as a sling. Very stylish too. Regarding value for money – At first I would have said no due to the size of it, but having used it and felt the benefits of it then yes, also it is a key wardrobe accessory when baby has long outgrown it! I will continue to use this, it will be invaluable on the school run or nipping in a shop, especially when Jayden is out of his infant carrier, and it will save time and energy getting the pram in and out of the boot. Ideal for busy mums, no faffing with back pack style clips and straps. I already have recommended to my sister in laws. One is due next year and the other has a baby a few months younger than Jayden. I certainly will to any friends and family that have babies in the future. This product is stylish, small, practical, versatile and secure. I do feel however that it needs something to support the crotch area, just to give that bit of extra support to baby. I have had a very positive experience with this product. I have 5 children so my life is very hectic. The sling saves a lot of time and energy faffing with a buggy, its small and light weight, so storing it in a changing bag or wearing it as a scarf does not hinder in anyway at all. I am able to hold my baby with one hand as oppose to two, freeing me up a little to shop, hold the other children’s hands etc. It is a brilliant product which we have enjoyed testing which I am sure will last a very long time due to the strength and quality of the material. The most important factor was that my baby was safe and secure, which he was, he was comfortable and I found it to be quite bonding, I didn’t feel restricted as I have done in other slings, I felt relaxed and able to cuddle my baby. Thank you.” – Caroline Lowndes

“Loved the look of [Wacotto] as had checked out online and as a first time mum was eager to try out this sling. The material used for this is great, very strong, versatile and easy to care for. Instructions very easy to follow and understand. I was surprised how easy this was to put on and was ready to go in no time. Was easy enough to place my daughter in this sling. I felt my daughter was safe and snug in this sling and it will be coming away with us this spring for our holiday to Spain. You can keep this sling on and do some of the daily chores, not all of them though but nice to have Simone close to me. This is very comfortable to wear and never caused any discomfort or back ache. My daughter loves being in this as she just loves to be close to me and my hubby has tried it out too. This is very easy to take anywhere with you as can just pop in your bag or changing bag. This is great value as not only is it a versatile sling once you have finished using as a sling it is a stylish warm scarf, great idea. I will continue to use this and have already recommended to my mummy group. This is a lovely versatile sling that I will be using for a long time and then will use as fashion accessory. Loved it.” – Carly Peters

“Thank goodness I had my #suppori while we were on holidays in the south of WA so I could walk out on the narrow bridge to enjoy the view. Could have never got the pram out there!
Thanks, Amy!!” – Amy, Perth

“We got to try both the Wacotto sling and Kantan net. We preferred the Kantan net because it’s adjustable and therefore easier to use by both my husband and I, even though have the same size of sling according to the size chart. Maybe we were also a little prejudiced about the Wacotto sling since the first one I tried was a bit tight.
We use the Kantan net daily now. Going to the store, going for a walk, while doing little chores around the house and our 11 months old girl wants nothing but being close and watching things happening at eye level of one of her parents, … It does slow things down a tiny bit because you can’t fully use both your hands and arms, but it’s still so much nicer still than having an unsatisfied baby climbing onto your legs ;-) Very happy to have this light and compact easy-to-use baby sling!” – Eva

apa-copyJoanna is an APA titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist working on Sydney’s North Shore and living on the beautiful Northern Beaches with her family.

As a busy first time mum she found carrying her daughter’s growing weight on her hip was causing pain and stiffness at her neck, back, shoulders and hip. As a physiotherapist she knew this was caused by constant carrying of her daughter for quick errands or round the house doing chores with her on her hip instead of using her hot and cumbersome multi-strapped baby carrier or stroller. So she sought to solve the problem and find something that supported her daughters’ weight and was also quick and simple to use.

After extensive research she came across the Award winning SUPPORi baby sling from Japan and instantly fell in love! It was the perfect answer to her problems along with being light-weight, breathable and enabling close contact for kisses and cuddles. Now it’s a firm favourite of both mother and daughter.

The interest that it sparked from other parents, grand parents and child care workers in the local community is how Beaches Bubs began.

As with all baby slings and carriers, it is important to remember that you are carrying an extra external load (i.e. our little munchkins) so remember to have regular rests from carrying. For more information about ‘Baby Wearing’ see our blog.

We offer online sales and also free fittings for mothers groups, families and friends living on the Northern beaches and North Shore of Sydney. If this looks like the baby carrier for you, but are unsure of the sizing or how to use, why not get some friends together for a morning coffee and Joanna will happily help you with your choice.
